Jacqueline Johnson

Jacqueline Johnson is a small animal veterinarian and author. With a life-time love of stories, she developed a passion for children’s literature, especially picture books, after having kids of her own.  Jacqueline finds inspiration everywhere, and she has a particular passion for writing about both nature and little-known events in history. She is an avid lover of '80s glam rock, black licorice and dog with beards. She was a PBParty finalist in 2021.

 

Jacqueline’s debut novel ELINOR MCGRATH, PET DOCTOR: THE STORY OF AMERICA’S FIRST FEMALE VETERINARIAN (Beaming Books, 2024) brings her love of animals and history together.
